LMRS offers a convenient, professional fixed-price service that moves data from old, obsolete media to modern formats.
Description
Fragile, bulky, aging media archives pose potential data-loss and waste valuable facility assets. LMRS addresses this liability by offering a convenient, fixed-price service, transferring data from legacy to modern media. We will retrieve your old SEL, Gould or Encore data, and re-write it using modern, reliable media products. If desired, we will perform 9-track to 9-track transfers using new, fresh tapes.
We accept any one of the following:

1 Disk Pack

1 Disk Drive
-
3 Magnetic Tapes (9-track, QIC, etc.)

1 4mm DAT
Service Includes:

Physically inspect the media to determine basic readability
-
Set up a system with appropriate peripheral device(s)

De-compress (if applicable), and read data from customer-supplied media

Output media in one of the following formats:

0 = Hard Copy

1 = 9 TK, 800 BPI Magnetic Tape

3 = 9 TK, 1600 BPI Magnetic Tape

5 = 5 1/4" Floppy Disk

6 = 8" Floppy Disk

7 = 1/4" Cartridge Tape (required MPX 3.6.0 or later)

8 = 8mm Cartridge Tape (Exabyte)

9 = 3 1/2" Floppy Disk

B = 9 TK, 6250 BPI Tape

C = CD ROM

D = 4mm DAT

V = DVD ROM

Note: You will need to complete a release document certifying legal ownership of submitted material and data/information contained therein. If after initial inspection and equipment setup media is unreadable, it will be returned to the customer and a flat $750 inspection/setup/processing fee will be charged.
